The Houston Texans improved to 2-0 on the season by completely destroying the Oakland Raiders in their home opener. It is the fifth straight year that the Texans have started their season winning their first 2 games.

One of the biggest keys for the Texans to come out with a victory over the Raiders was for them to not shoot themselves in the foot and take care of the ball. The Texans Pass Rush Comes Alive In Season Opener, Texans Win 17-6
The Texans were able to start off the 2014 season on a good note with a hard fought win, ending what was a 14 game losing streak. It wasn’t a tightly executed game all the way around, but the Texans were able to make plays on defense and get a few things to bounce their way. Texans’ defense under Romeo Crennel, Kareem Jackson and D.J. Swearinger feel strongly about new scheme
The eagerness to see the final product of Romeo Crennel’s defense continues to build as we get closer to training camp and the start of the season. Based off Crennel’s history in the league there was already an idea of the type of changes that would done to the defense. The Texans have been non-specific about most things but little by little things come out from the coaches, players. CSN caught up with Kareem Jackson, D.J.
